Dancing With Myself

Dancing With Myself by Nouvelle Vague on Grooveshark

It Don't Mean A Thing...

As I am getting closer to showing the world what my idea of fashion is about, for the time being through what others have created and by putting different parts of outfit together, I am also trying to get to know music from underneath. So that what I had done numerous times before - resuscitating parties in agony to the point when everyone gets up and is more than eager to jump and rock, becomes something more. Maybe not a way of life, but an exciting addition to other things I do.
To get there I need to see how things work, what BPM is, keynote, etc.
I guess there are people who just know. I don't, however I got that swing, I suppose. I got the rhythm.
So just one  obstacle to overcome - all that tech stuff.

"My home"

Nneka

For the girl with tears in her eyes on the subway tonight.

I didn't want to intrude, so I didn't say it out loud, but I was looking back at her while taking the escalator and thinking "out loud": "Everything is going to be alright".

Silky Yael Naïm

Who's ever heard of mango tango, Bulgarian rose or cerulean?
High time to get educated! I can perfectly express myself describing colours in my mother language, but now that I am trying to have words stand in for visual aids where colours would not only be perceived by the sense of sight, but also nearly tactile, I am at a loss to find the right ones. And no, I am not suffering from synesthesia. But colours live in my mind as if they're truly tangible, not merely visible.

For now I will need this at hand:

"Toxic" by Yael Naïm is bottle green & dark salmon silk. Picture this. Feel it and hear her voice spread the silk in the scenery of your mind.

Some music just goes perfectly with certain aesthetics. There is a reason why experts select musical entourage for a fashion show. Why a fashion show might get a completely different reception when accompanied by tasteful music which reflects the concept of the designer.

I am not a fashion designer although the way I dress is one of the essential elements to define how I address the world. Hence the colours I chose, the styles I wear, are blended in a subjective harmony. I am no musician either. But the same way I love to pick what designers have come up with, I like to live with a lot of different kinds of music every day.

The only natural consequence that could come out of the two, is what I would like to make this blog about. My idea of fashion plus the music that would go perfectly with it. That I would like to listen to while looking or wearing. So far others are the artists to design the clothes and the music in my life.

So I take what I think is best available, mix & blend it for my own and hopefully others' pleasure. Starting merely with music. Soon both to be seen and heard! Photos of how and what I like to wear, what inspires me and might inspire you too. With customized soundtracks.
